About the Fellowship
The EquityTech Fellowship supports entrepreneurs from the United States and around the world who are dedicated to closing equity gaps in wealth, education, and accessibility using technology. With support from Capital One, Deloitte, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Arnold & Porter, this fellowship aims to empower ventures in sectors such as FinTech, Future of Work, Assistive Tech, and EdTech.
Program Structure
Up to eight ventures will be selected for the fellowship.
Ventures will undergo training in Halcyon’s methodology on product-market fit, leadership, and investment readiness.
The program includes a virtual kickoff meeting and an eight-week in-person residency in Washington, DC.
Timeline
Application closes on May 31, 2024.
Finalists will be invited to a virtual pitch with the Selection Committee in July 2024.
Selected fellows will be notified in July 2024.
The virtual program kickoff is tentatively scheduled for September 6, 2024.
In-person residency in Washington, DC will take place from September 23 to November 15, 2024.
Benefits
Fellows accepted into the program will receive:
A $10,000 USD equity-free stipend per venture for travel expenses.
Eight-week residency at Halcyon’s facilities in Georgetown, Washington, DC.
Training on investment readiness, product-market fit, and leadership.
Pro bono legal support and consulting services from Deloitte.
Leadership coaching and $10,000 USD in Amazon Cloud credits.
Access to a community of over 500+ impact-driven entrepreneurs.
Eligibility
For-profit EquityTech ventures based anywhere in the world.
Must have a Minimum Viable Product with scalability potential.
Applicant must be fluent in English, at least 21 years old, and able to participate fully in all program activities.
Venture must contribute towards one or more of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Selection Criteria
Applications will be scored based on Impact, Scalability, Innovation, and Talent.
